As part of this expansion, Pamir has recently recruited FBI veteran Alan E. Kohler, Jr to join its team. Alan will lead a program that will encompass the evaluation and consultation of academic research and development programs and their engagement with the corporate market.
With 27 years at the FBI, Mr. Kohler most recently served as Assistant Director for Counterintelligence, with past roles including the FBI’s response to the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon, leadership positions in the counterintelligence, cyber, and counterterrorism programs, and as chief of the Eurasian Section.
Mr. Kohler is a recipient of the Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service, the FBI Director’s Award for Outstanding Counterintelligence Investigation, and the Exceptional Achievement Medal from the Director of National Intelligence.
Mr Kohler brings unique insights and experiences to Pamir, honed through deep-level operational activities with the FBI. He has reach into Academia and most of the Fortune500 and strengthens Pamir’s existing credibility as well as complementing and enriching the existing team.
