Community service from the Pamir team – volunteering to maintain public amenities
Several members of our team recently volunteered to help the Potomac Appalachian Train Club upgrade part of the 18-mile Bull Run to Occoquan Trail in Fairfax, Virginia. Andrea Calderon, Alexandra Berends, Charlotte Bullard, and Ian Brown spent a hectic day, helping to repair, maintain and enhance this facility – enjoyed by thousands of hikers each year, during all seasons.
The Potomac Appalachian Trail club maintains 650 miles of trails in the mid-Atlantic region, including a section of the Appalachian Trail. The Bull Run Occoquan Trail offers an excellent route, taking hikers over an 18-mile journey, from Bull Run Regional Park to a point just north of Occoquan, Virginia.
The Bull Run River separates Fairfax County from Prince William County and features many sites of historic interest. Thanks to our team for taking part and helping to restore this valuable public resource!
